XM Swap Rates for Standard and Zero Accounts: All Currencies, Gold, etc.

XM's Standard and Zero accounts have swap points set.

Swap = Interest fees deducted from or credited to your account when holding a position overnight.

The KIWAMI Extreme account is promoted as swap-free, which has both merits and demerits.

For example, even with a position that would normally earn positive swap points, such as a Gold short, you cannot receive swap points on the KIWAMI account.

Note on the Timing of 3-Day Swap (Rollover)

Swap points are generated when you hold a position overnight, but there is a "3-Day Swap Day" where the points for holidays like weekends are settled together.

The 3-day swap occurs on different days depending on the instrument.

• FX currency pairs and precious metals (Gold, etc.): 3 days' worth is generated when carried over from Wednesday to Thursday.
• Some CFDs like stock indices: 3 days' worth is generated when carried over from Friday to Monday.

When trading instruments with large negative swaps, be careful of your closing date and time so as not to cross this rollover timing.
