Trends in KIWAMI Extreme Account Spreads
Dollar Straight Pairs are Excellent
- USD/JPY
- EUR/USD
- GBP/USD
Considering the leverage is 1,000x, the spreads for these major currency pairs can be said to be excellent.
Although I feel they could do a little better with USD/JPY, it's not enough to complain about.
Not limited to the KIWAMI account, it seems that Dollar Straight pairs should be the main players in FX trading.
Cross-Yen Pairs are Subtle Even in KIWAMI Account
The spreads for Cross-Yen pairs like EUR/JPY and GBP/JPY are honestly a bit wide and not that great.
It's a bit disappointing that the spread exceeds 2 pips despite being a low spread account.
Well, since Cross-Yen pairs are synthetic currencies of Dollar-Yen and Dollar Straight pairs, the difficulty of price movement is higher,
so I don't think they are something to trade actively on XM.
Gold Spread is Excellent
Gold, a CFD that has been gaining popularity since 2019, has an excellent spread of around 2 pips.
Other overseas FX brokers often have spreads around 3 pips,
and XM's Standard Account is also around 3.5 pips, so the KIWAMI account offers a very easy-to-trade spread for Gold.
However, since Gold has much higher volatility than currency pairs, be careful not to trade too casually, or you might face a stop-out (zero cut) in the blink of an eye.
Bitcoin Spread is Also Excellent
The spread for Bitcoin (BTCUSD) is almost fixed at $30.
It is not uncommon for overseas FX brokers to have BTCUSD spreads of over $50, so this is quite an excellent level.
Furthermore, **Bitcoin leverage is 500x, which is the highest level among all brokers**, making it easy to start with a small amount.
Again, note that Bitcoin, like Gold, has higher volatility than currency pairs, so trading with extreme full leverage can lead to a quick stop-out.
Although the spread for Ethereum (ETHUSD) is 3.45, which is not bad,
considering the price difference of nearly 40 times between Ethereum and Bitcoin as of 2025, the spread is relatively wide.
I don't think there is much need to dare to trade Ethereum instead of Bitcoin on XM.
